*** R3Dedit features *** R3Dedit provides the most realistic DOOM editing environment available. 1. Has REAL sky support as well as DOOM-BOOM special actions while in edit mode 2. Can start editing anywhere in the level without requiring any Thing positioning. Just put the cursor where you want to start in the map and off you go. 3. Instantly Warp within the level to any line or coordinates using either the Automap Jump or warl and warc console commands. 4. Supports the editing of all features, including Things, DECORATE objects and Dynamic lights. 5. Support for MAPINFO alternate skies 2. Reduction of ZONE memory size 3. Support for all variations of texture and flat formats used interchangeably on walls or ceiling and floors. In-game Jump editing (J) lets you jump to any location instantly from the Automap display. This is how it works: 1. Activate the AutoMap (Tab is the default key). 2. Press F (for follow). Now you can quickly move to any point in the map. 3. When you get to where you want to be, press J. About as simple as it gets! 20. In-game Line and coordinate jumping jump to any line or coordinate instantly. This is how it works: 1. Activate the AutoMap (Tab is the default key). 2. Press the J key (this only works if you do not have the Automap in "follow" mode, for that see above. 3. In the next dialog select Line or X,Y coordinates from the radio button 4. Enter the coordinates or the line number and press OK. Note: This is identical to the prior console "warc x,y" coordinate and "warl line#" linenumber commands which still exist. 21. 3D editing full bright command. Press F11 in R3Dedit and the level appears fullbright. Use this for areas that are too dark to clearly see the textures for alignment purposes. Press F11 again to go back to the actual light levels. 22. Supports DOOM levels in HEXEN format for editing. 23. Support HERETIC, HEXEN and STRIFE levels with their respective IWADS for Texture Editing 24. Supports Dynamic Light colors via specials for editing. 25.
